SCRIBBLE — For S/S 13, French brand Études blends playful pattern and unique tailoring details into a solid, casually classic collection. Subtleties like mismatched fabrics around their side-pleat trousers and raw denim waistbands are the makings of brand signifiers, not to mention the cobalt leather back patches. This season brought together several artist collaborations including our favorite shirt and trouser set with Robin Cameron. Solid pieces, in stock for springtime.

HEAT — The S/S '13 shows are over now and with all the great collections we're excited to bring in, 5 months from now, Fall doesn't seem fun anymore. Adding to this, it reached 91° today, making it even harder to focus on sweaters and coats. We're going to focus on the great stuff we saw and are excited to introduce to the shop.

Where to Grab a Drink

DRINK — There are few relationships in a man's life that fall under great importance. Most always it's a common domestic companion. Dog(s). Cat(s). But then there is a man's love, broken heart or not, spirit down, spirit up, its abyssal and sometimes hard to find, but a man has more love than anyone will ever get the chance to figure out, maybe not even himself. And then, there are vices. Many men have an unspoken however deep affection for tools of solace. Food. Cigar(s). Gambling. Alcohol. Some of these are finer than others in class or otherwise. I've considered myself, somewhat at different occasions in my life, a connoisseur of the latter. I like them all. Beer. Wine. Liquor. I like finding obscurities handcrafted in small batches and digging deep into their most often short histories. Men or women who've ran away from the scene of the crime that is finding oneself in a monotonous career and hatched a dream that many people dare not nurture. The ones who start out small with a recipe for a drink that at some point makes its way into the shakers of peoples drinking establishments, and that movement is noteworthy and pure. It isn't always in the form of the brewer. Sometimes its the place where it meets its end. That very place is, where for people that appreciate this idea, come to revel in the fruitfulness of that relationship. And there it is, The Sparetime. The only alchemists to ever strike gold. Our only choice to unwind in the sultry jungle that is the south.
